a blossom of something new
Sometimes life stops and throws you a curve ball so that you can be alive again and feel. In those moments you feel relieved, happy, nervous and scared for no one knows what will come around the corner and what doors will open.
We affect the world with our beautiful vision through creative expressions, thoughtful kindness, and right action.

A lifetime as Artist and Designer
I started on my journey scribbling on walls in my bedroom, playing music at a young age which taught me the importance of creating a practice. This led me to be a classical saxophonist and artist graduating from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. I have worked in ad agencies and marketing departments as a graphic designer and web developer, and have won awards as an illustrator and designer. At the heart of my life has always been the desire to have each day filled with creativity as an extension of my experiences and imagination.
Experience
Principal @ Studio Foronda / 2006 to Present
When I moved to CT I began freelancing in my studio as an illustrator and designer. As an illustrator, I have done work for The NY Times, Washington Post, NPR, Miami Herald, St. Pete Times and many more magazines and newspapers. As I designer, I have started brands for many entrepreneurs launching their business through brand development, web design, print media and advertising.
Creative Director @ Startec / 2001 – 2004
At Startec, I was tasked with bringing together work from several ad agencies into one cohesive brand identity through in-house design. We designed marketing campaigns in print, online and TV all in-language through nationwide cultural and ethnic marketing.
Multimedia Designer @ Mediacentric / 1997 – 2000
I worked at a Multimedia Ad Agency in Clearwater, FL after working as a graphic designer for the City of St. Petersburg. We created animated presentation graphics in Macromedia Director and Flash. I maintained websites for AT&T, Lucent, Avia, and other companies.
Graphic Designer @ City of St. Petersburg / 1994 – 1997
Working as a graphic designer at the City of St. Petersburg, FL was my first design job. I was responsible for the design needs for 32 departments. Within that time frame we developed campaigns to bring the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to St. Pete and the ESPN X-trials. I was also awarded best annual report design from the Florida Public Relations Association.
Education
I received a senatorial scholarship to attend the Maryland Institute, College of Art. My experiences there felt like boot camp for artists. We were drilled with fine art tradition and design fundamentals. I moved from Visual Communications to a Bachelor of Fine Art in Drawing . As an intern for the Baltimore Jewish Times, I had my first illustrations published, one of which was an article with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Eli Weisel.

Branding
Everyone has a story and that narrative needs to be expressed through words and visuals. The ability to find the core elements in the story through collaboration is an art. Expressing the vision is the result.
Illustration
As an editorial illustrator, I take the written word and find the essence in the story. My concepts reflect my understanding of what the writer is expressing in a uniquely visual way.
Design
There is structure in the design process that must be expressed through a uniquely creative response influenced by culture, history, experiences and the natural world. I like to take those elements and simplify them with regard to the creative brief for each project.
3D
My experience with creating 3D Assets and animation is fairly new. I had started 2D animation with the advent of Macromedia Flash. Recently I have been using Blender and Moho as tools to create animated assets.
