BIO

Anthony, a proud native of Washington, DC, was born into a musical and storytelling family. Both his parents immigrated from the Philippines in the mid 60’s. His father, who worked in engraving, dedicated his career to the renowned Washington Post. Meanwhile, his mother contributed her expertise as an account rep for AT&T. From a young age, Anthony delighted in exploring the vibrant corridors of the Post’s printing presses, engraving and editorial departments. Thrilled by the world of print, he eagerly flipped through the pages every morning, captivated by the whimsical comics and captivating illustrations that adorned the newspaper.

Immersed in the heart of the political capital, Anthony’s upbringing was influenced by the city’s rich tapestry of politics and social justice. During his teenage years, he was involved in music and became an active participant in the thriving music scene of the late eighties. This subculture intertwined with his passion for activism helped formulate his views of current events and at the center  of his art. Furthermore, Anthony’s involvement with Amnesty International, an international human rights organization, fueled his commitment to the global fight for human rights, an enduring membership that he proudly upholds to this day.
